做改錯題通常的步驟是：
一、先閱讀全句，理解全句的意思。
二、再看每句給出的A、B、C、D四個選項，選出可能錯的地方，注意每道改錯題只有一個選項是錯誤的，因此在答題時，要考慮這道題主要考查什么語法內容，有針對性地選擇答案。
三、在選擇及改正時要綜合運用所學的詞匯、習慣用法、句型和語法知識，使整個句子用詞恰當，語法正確。

在做題時，要看清主語是可數(shù)名詞，還是不可數(shù)名詞，可數(shù)名詞是單數(shù)還是復數(shù)形式來確定謂語動詞，常見的不可數(shù)名詞有: news, homework, knowledge, money, food(bread, meat...) fire, weather, hair,medicine, noise, population, milk等。不可數(shù)名詞作主語時，謂語動詞必須用第三人稱單數(shù)形式。同時，一些主語結構要注意主謂一致的主要還有一些：
